What you wish you had known/ done BEFORE starting medical school?

I wish I would have...

Taken anatomy (everyone said don't take it in undergrad because it wouldn't be helpful in comparison to the difficulty of anatomy in med school--- so I didn't take it. But I really wish I would have.)

Know First Aid inside and out for Step 1. If I could do it over, I'd start reviewing First Aid 6 months before test day.

I wish I wouldn't have bought text books--- I don't think med school professors understand the term"required". I would have been just fine with a Netter's atlas, dissection book, and I like using the embryology textbook...but that's it. You *will* need an anatomy textbook: I liked McMinn's (over Rohen's simply because McMinn's labels were alphabetized which makes it a helluva lot easier to find things).
